AUFZEICHNA is a screen recorder for Windows, macOS, and Linux, built by MerginIT e.U. in Austria. One-time purchase, local processing, no subscriptions.
Why we built it
AUFZEICHNA started with jealousy. Mac users got Screen Studio, and Windows users got the Xbox Game Bar. So we built the Windows answer ourselves: a recorder that adds auto-zoom, cursor smoothing, and motion blur while you record, not after. The goal is a product video you can publish without opening an editor.

Local-first, made in Austria
Recording, editing, and export run on your computer, and the free browser tools on this site process files locally in your browser. There is no cloud storage to sell you and no account to create. AUFZEICHNA is made by MerginIT e.U., a one-person company run by Jonas Froeller in Austria. The name is Austrian dialect for "The Recorder": sturdy, reliable, and maybe a little grumpy.
