What exactly is AUFZEICHNA?
AUFZEICHNA (Austrian dialect for “The Recorder”) is a high-performance screen recorder built for technical creators. It applies that “expensive” look to your footage automatically, with no editing timeline involved.
1. Cinematic tracking
Stop cutting and cropping 4K footage by hand. AUFZEICHNA reads where you click, where you type, and where your mouse hovers, then runs smooth, eased camera zooms that put the viewer’s attention where it belongs.
2. Cursor smoothing
Nobody moves their mouse in a perfectly straight line. Cursor smoothing strips the jittery micro-movements from your raw capture and turns the path into a calm, confident curve. It makes you look like you practiced.
3. Motion blur
60fps is a great start, but raw frames often look sterile. AUFZEICHNA adds subtle motion blur to cursor arcs and camera zooms, which glues the presentation together.

We refused to build another web app, for two reasons:
Latency. Browser-based recorders hijack your system resources. AUFZEICHNA is a native app that runs quietly at the OS level. You can record 4K tutorials while your IDE keeps running, without your fans screaming.
